My Teaching Philosophy
Teachers influence and are influenced by those around them and it is important for everyone in an educational setting to work together to create a successful and meaningful environment to harbor creativity, intelligence, hard work, and passion.
I believe the school functions as a place for students to have the availability to succeed in several different aspects of life. The school offers the student a variety of educational opportunities including the core classes, fine arts, fitness, and social lessons that are readily and easily obtainable by every student. The school is the map for students learning and has many dwellings for the student to experience and develop different aspects of knowledge.
The teacher’s role is to guide and motivate the students. The teacher provides the information, catering to the backgrounds and ideas of the students. As the teacher, I will personally build on the inherent knowledge of the students by teaching through the students’ passions and talents. The educator does not skip over any material, or deem any material more important than another, therefore I will teach all subjects equally in order to give the student strong knowledge of the many characteristics that make up a solid education. The teacher should also provide students with an opportunity to develop good social habits by learning from and collaborating with a variety of peers.
Students all have different beliefs and ideas that they hold on to throughout their years of education. It is important that the students be able to invest deeper into these ideas by enhancing them with knowledge. A student’s background and passions are important and have a critical impact on how the student will view education. Every student is an individual and should be treated as such by being motivated to further their talents and interests in any and every subject of education. No child should be denied the right to learn and should be evaluated to find out the best way to teach them individually.
