I Am Ready!

I am READY for the first day of Fall 2013! I have created a fun "Me-Bo" choice board! It is essentially a "Bingo" board, where students choose 5 items in a row to complete. These items are things such as "draw your favorite foods inside the dinner plate" or "draw/write a picture of what you did this summer" etc... but there are 24 different items, and there is a fun picture printable to decorate for each. The students will place their 5 items in a brown paper sack which we will call their "Me Bag". Students will share their Me Bags with the class as a fun get-to-know-you activity, and you better believe I will share mine as well! I am excited about this activity because it starts the year off right by offering choice to students. Their projects automatically become relevant to them because they are personalizing every detail to make it about their life and experiences. I can't wait to see what my future class has to offer!
